Although I had always been quite sportive during my teens, I suffered (and still do) from severe back pain. Physiotherapy had done miracles for me, and when I started practicing yoga, it had a similar healing effect – but on more than just the physical level. Yoga helped me ground, become calmer, stronger, and find balance in body and mind.

Mainly pursuing self-practice at home or joining classes in gyms whilst moving around the world for University, internships, travels and work, it was not until I moved to London that I took up a regular studio practice. With the privilege of being surrounded by inspiring practitioners and teachers, I soon wanted to dive in deeper. I completed my 200hr Yoga Alliance certified Yoga Teacher Training under Stewart Gilchrist in 2012,  under whom I also qualified as 500hr Yoga Alliance UK Certified teacher in 2016. Along the way, besides benefiting from the amazing resident yoga teachers in London, I have practiced and studied with David Swenson, Richard Freeman and Mary Taylor, Kino McGregor, Jason Crandell, have delved into yoga therapy with Doug Keller, trained in Mandala Vinyasa with Dulce Aguilar and am currently completing my Yin Yoga Training with Bernie Clarke.

I am deeply thankful for all the teachers, friends and family who have supported and continue to support me.

I took my first yoga class one hot afternoon after school in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. My friend Diya took me, and for that I am eternally grateful to her: Yoga (in one way or another) has stuck with me ever since.
